Since I've been getting some feedback (thanks GRHB), I'm wondering, what do people find difficult to understand about using the site? What can I do to make it easier for people?
A question I've been asked more than once is how to register artists. First of all you need to register a normal user account. A link will then be shown on the homepage to 'register artist.' This link will take you to a page to register as an artist.
I did it this way because I thought some people are going to want to register with more than one artist. Likewise, some artists are going to have more than one member registered with the site. On some similar sites one artist = one user account and viceversa.
Another common question is about the 'request url' function. This is currently set to be allowed 1 day after you register an artist with the site. To use this, when the links appears on your artist profile (you must be logged in with an account related to that artist to see this), go to the request url page and enter the name you would like to use.
You only need to enter a short name, not the full URL. So, for example, to get the URL 'http://www.soundnet.co.uk/fugazi' you would only need to enter 'fugazi' in the box.
Please post any other questions you would like to ask in this thread. You don't even have to be registered to post a reply.
Any suggestions as to how anything could be made easier to understand, please also post those in this thread.
